Sex Therapy

Sex therapy is just like talk therapy, but we talk a lot more about sex! It never involves sexual or physical touch between the therapist and client.

I support people as they explore the patterns and roots of sexual challenges, and help them create a new blueprint of intimacy and pleasure. Many of us come from cultures where talking about sex was taboo, which may have made it difficult for you to understand your sexual wants and needs. Sex therapy can begin the process of releasing that shame.

In addition to talk therapy, sessions may include mindfulness exercises to support body awareness and relaxation, education on sexual health, a more thorough sexual history assessment, and learning new communication skills.

Sex therapy can help with various sexual issues, including:

  • Trouble having an orgasm

  • Difficulty getting or keeping an erection

  • Pain with penetration or pelvic pain during sex

  • Low libido and arousal: not having much interest, excitement, or physiological response for sex

  • Early ejaculation: reaching climax too quickly

  • Delayed ejaculation: taking too log to climax

Iā€™m particularly passionate about supporting people who want to heal from sexual violence and learn how to find pleasure in their bodies again, and folks within the kink and BDSM community.
